Physical Fitness
 

     One of the best and easiest ways to improve your health is by staying active! Exercise can improve heart health and keep you at a healthy body weight. Kids should be active for at least 60 minutes, 5 days a week! There are a lot of ways to stay fit and healthy; you can play a game of basketball with friends, run on your school's track, or go on a bike ride. Below are some links to help you get ideas for different ways you can stay active and have fun!

     It can be fun to play sports or be active with a group. If you like sports ask your

parents about joining a recreational sports team at your local youth or recreation

center. Below are links to Atlanta-based rec centers. These centers have sports

teams lots of sports including basketball, baseball, football, softball, and swimming.

Nutrition 

     It's also important to remember to eat a healthy diet to remain strong and healthy. You should eat some of each food group; including vegetables, fruits, meats, grains, and dairy. As well, try to avoid eating sugary treats too often. This guide is a good way to see how much food you should be eating from each food group.
